HDAD is based in Évora (Alentejo region), and run by a specialized team that freely choose to live for Almond production. We are constantly evolving, despite all the know-how acquired in the several years that we have been working in California. Our work is based on solid ESG criteria’s, human competence and state-of-the-art technology.

ESG

HDAD Almond production has been found to be compliant in accordance with the standard: GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standard for Fruit and Vegetables (version 5.2).

This is a global standard for responsible farming practices at primary production level, covering preharvest activities such as soil management and plant protection product application, to basic postharvest handling. It includes measures that ensure food and farm worker safety and welfare, traceability of products and production records, environmental awareness, minimization of agrochemical inputs (fertilizers, pest and weed control), Integrated Crop Management (ICM), efficient resources (soil and water) utilization and compliance with local and international regulations.

At Herdade das Amêndoas Doces we work for a common goal: to maintain a long-term project of producing the best quality almonds, in a disciplined, responsible and highly educated manner, adding competence, innovation and progress to a country that sees us evolving every day. We have precision agriculture, in order to use resources properly and without waste, on a sustainability basis. Therefore, it is essential for us to use renewable resources such as solar panels, reuse organic material and biomass, achieve strategic management of water resources, while creating jobs, opportunities and experience.
